Maybe someone in the know can answer a debate a couple of us are having. We have a 97 F150 with a 4.2 and auto trans. My son says that None of the early production 97 150's were avail with Air Cond and that A/C was not avail as an option until the end of the production year of 97. I say no way Ford would be this boneheaded but who know's? If anyone has the skinny on this, please let me know-we got money riding on this... Thanks!!
My 97 has A/C. My truck was manufactured in Mar of 96. The original sticker didn't say anything about A/C being an option on my truck. I would say your son is wrong then. Plus my truck is a Lariat edition.
My truck is a 97 XL model and was manufactured the same date that skilife17s was and I have A/C. I would also say your son is wrong. I dont even think that air is an option anymore, at least not in the south, no one would buy a car in the south with no air.
You sound achingly like my father! Everyone's got to be either right or wrong about everything, no middle ground, no personal opinion. I understand this is a father/son bet, but really who cares! Sorry if I'm showing my jaded side...

If it's a case of fact, then there is no middle ground... no opinions were necessary. This is not a matter of opinion. If the question was "is AC necessary?" then you have a matter of opinion - at that point there is middle ground.
