The reason that I really wanted to know is that my truck went into a mode (after the wife had driven it) the other night (limp home sorta), It would run up to 60 mph but no more. It was not blowing smoke, but there was no power (like a blown/loose boot, checked - none). I came home shut it off and did the visual check, then checked for codes - none). I unkooked the battery for about an hour. The next startup, it was back to normal. I know something is going on, just cannot figure it out.
ok, i just did the batt disconnect for about an hour. went to back out of my driveway and a a no peddal situation! floored it twice to get it to go and it came back! NEver had that before. So was that the pcm relearning the tps? Something was learning there.
Stocker, I am in the same situation. I have replaced the CPS twice. It will run great, then all of a sudden, it wnats to limp home. Like I said earlier, no codes. Unhook the batteries for a while, then it is back to normal. It did it tonite after installing the HPX line.
The light bulb above my head is getting dimmer on this one. Guess, I will find or borrow a ICM and see if that solves it.
