My speedometer/odometer quit working on me about 3 months ago. The problem started out intermittently and progressively got worse. Now it doesn't work at all. The odometer is lit and shows the mileage, but does not progress. Needless to say the cruise control quit at the same time. The ABS service light is on, so I checked the speed sensor in the rear differential, it seems to be fine - lots of magnetism present anyways.

I'm thinking that the ABS module under the dash may be the culprit, but would like some input as to what else it could be.

 

speed sensor probably needs to be replaced.
