I just performed this today
-remove inside door panel (2 screws)
-remove door latch screws (3 torx head screws)
-remove outer door handle (2 screws located through inner door) and disconnect the 2 linkages
-remove inside door handle (2 screws)
-drop actuator, disconnect electical and remove

Wow, thanks! I thought that was about what I needed to do, but with out knowing I was kinda stuck. THANKS A TON!
Good luck on your project. If you have any other questions, just ask. I redid my lock actuators yesterday and now they work better than new.
-remove inside door panel (2 screws) OK
-remove door latch screws (3 torx head screws) Ok but don't remove door latch?
-remove outer door handle (2 screws located through inner door) and disconnect the 2 linkages OK, 2 10mm bolts or something, one top one bottom?
-remove inside door handle (2 screws) OK, What is this exactly and what is holding it in? Scews???
-drop actuator, disconnect electical and remove OK, drop the acuator and door latch as ONE assembly?? That's what I feel you are saying. Thanks!
wow, done and done. That was a LOT easier then it looks. It took about 25 minutes from start to testing, I haven't put it back together yet because I wanted to take a break and post that your instructions were very helpful.
I think all I needed was to take the outer door handle off, from that point on the job gets a lot easier!
Somebody should do a detailed write up on this job!
When you were in there, did you clean and re-grease everything really well? That was my secondary focus. The operation of the door feels a lot smoother then the passenger door does. When that lock acuator goes out I'll give it this same treatment.
I did clean and regrease all the gears. It looked as if the long, black gear had gotten hot at some point and needed it. Glad to have been able to help.
I found it far easier to take off the outside handle. It adds a bit of light into the door frame and it's easier to take off and put back on the outside door clamp.

I'm down to step 3 in this project, and I'm stuck.
I can't get the bottom linkage removed from the latch assembly, and I also dont have two screws holding the inner door handle in. It won't come off, as far as I can tell.
How do I get the bottom linkage (that goes from the front of the door to the rear, where the latch is) off the thing so I can wrap this up?
BTW, I'm working on the rear door-
Never mind, I figured it out. On my rear doors, there's no need to disconnect the lower linkage, or remove the inner door handles. You can go through the outer door handle opening, use a large/wide flathead screwdriver, and pop the actuator off of the latch assembly, then unplug the wiring harness, then pop off the plastic 'holder' that goes into one of the round openings in the top of the actuator, and then intallation is reverse of removal.
