I do not know if this counts or not, but right now I am offshore Vietnam and I make the trip to and from South MS every 28 days. About 24 hours flying not including lay-overs, each way and waiting on a helicopter.

For a couple of years I drove a vanpool 75 miles each way, not including the 10 miles from my house to the pickup point. My blood pressure skyrocketed and I had to go on medication. This was I-405 and SR-14, horrible traffic, for anyone that knows SoCal.

i lived in eastcote, northwest part of london, right off the metropolitan line, had a nice cozy duty station there while in the Navy. chose to live within walking distance to work because i never liked driving there.
