Whats the longest drive you have ever taken. Right now mine is 800 miles.
In about a week I will be embarking on a drive across the country to Maine, from my house here its 2450 Miles. Estimated driving time is 37 Hours. I sure hope the old Ford can make it.
I just got back from driving 2000 miles from Washington to Oklahoma, did it in two days. I even hauled 3000 pounds back, without a problem. My F150 did great.
I regularly drive over 3,000 miles a week. I am about to go on an 2,000 mile drive delivering the trailer we just sold on the e-Bay, then if I win, will be driving another 1800 mile trip to pick up a camper I am bidding on. If I loose I will go on a longer drive to cheer myself up.
my truck has been from washington state to calif to iowa to flordia to washington state and now back home here to iowa.9438 miles all in less then a month
I did a few runs from Boston to Winston-Salem when my brother was in school, about a 14 hour deal.
Coming back one time at night, for the first time in 9 hours I stopped for traffic at the NJ tolls. My brain was so used to the motion of terrain going by that even after I stopped it looked like the cars ahead were still moving towards me. I held that brake pedal down and tried to convince myself it wasn't so
Longest ever was 1410 miles non stop, Pueblo, Colorado to Milton, Florida. That run took 24 hours and 15 minutes. Made the trip about 4 times back in the late 70's, only once non stop though. Every trip by myself.
I am getting ready to make a trip from Pueblo to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee next month too, about the same drive as the Florida one. Going to take the F150 to pick up a 6 1/2' by 4' carved wooden sign for our new store, as well as a couple of other large neon signs and odds and ends from a storage locker. Have to do this round trip in as few days as I can too, but I should have help this time. Not as young and foolish as I used to be.
Last year, I drove from Modesto, California, to Oakland Tennessee, in 38 hours, with Sliknspeedy driving for two 5 hour periods, whilst I slept. We were in a hurry to beat my wife, who was flying back from there the day after we left. We actually were home, asleep when she arrived. She still thinks we cheated somehow.
I drove from CT to Washtington DC. We too got lost (figures) and the 6 hour trip ended up at 11 Hours going, and 12 going back. (yes, we got lost going back too) And I was the driver, straight through) Talk about boring
Matt -
Don't worry, my mom makes me feel the same way over nothing as well. One time she got me lost on the highway telling me to take an exit that didn't exist.
