Hey everyone, this is my situation: I Just bought 38.5x15x16.5 boggers for my truck and mounted them on my eagle 16.5x9.75 wheels with a 4.75 backspace. I have a 429 with fenderwell exit headers by l&l, when i turn right, i get light rubbing on the passenger side header. the tires clear fenders and everything else just fine, i would have to lift it about another 8 inchers to clear over the headers and i dont wanna do that, so i was thinking about getting wheels with a smaller backspace. Only wheels i found with backspace of 3.5" would be the bart wheels, anyone have these or know where to buy? how much?
you could adjust the steerin stops, i aint sure how to do it but a search should bring up how to.
edit: i searched and found out there is a bolt on the nuckle that hits that axle to make the wheel stop turning, adjusting that out will keep your tires from rubbing.

Yeah thats true, but then i wont have the same turning radius , and i think if i flex the suspension some, it might still rub.. i guess i can try it and find out --> its free! is there a post here on that?
Moving the centerline of the wheel outward also places more stress on the wheel bearings and axle. This can cause failures, overheating, and reduce bearing life.
if your willing to spend money on a new set of wheels, why not just keep the wheels you have now and go to chassis exit headers, you will be able to recover alot of the $$ from selling your fenderwell exit headers, they go like hotcakes on ebay
