Where is the module with the 5 digit code number? I have no 2x3 card, and dealer wants 1 hr labor to read it from the computer.
Some say it is under the passenger dash.
Some say it is behind the rear seats, which apparantly are a pain to remove.
If I have a OBDII Scanner can I read it myself?
The factory code you can not change but you can put your own code in, its a black box with a white sticker on it on the drivers side tucked up under the dash.
Ditto on behind the rear seat. Try another dealer.... My local dealer wanted to charge me $80 for the code. I took it to another dealer and they did it for free. It takes 20 seconds to retrieve the code. I watched them do it!
