Back up sensor

Still can't see or judge whats behind me on my 04 4x4. 2 times I've bumped the back bumper and chipped the grey paint and now have a few dents. Anyone find a good back bumper sensor that works and doesn't look like bad?

Maybe you should see if the dealer can check their calibration. Mine work all the time, and have saved my neck in a few instances.

First do you have the factory sensor? Like WheelMA1 said, mine works and has saved me several times, the only thing
I dont like is with the end gate down it will beep constantly like it does when you get within 6 inches.

The problem is my truck doesn't have the back up sensors and I'm looking for an aftermarket add on that works.

Oh, I took it as the stock units werent working, and you wanted to go aftermarket. Don't know of any aftermarket units that might work. Sorry.

yea they are all around the $18 range with $20 shipping. It would be interesting to see someone put on in aftermarket. I also saw one that goes on the license plate as well so "no drilling" is involved.

Let me know if you have any questions and I will ask our salesman. Best of luck man!

I ordered back up senors WITH LED reading in feet which is awesome!! only $60 bucks to my door from Japan and most F150 has them on and is happy with it. go to E bay and try search "resvere sensor LED feet".

EDIT:
You can order 2 or 4 sensors.

I ordered 2 sensors and all of F150 already has exist HOLES for sensors its covered with plastic rear bumper where you drill thru the plastic..go crawl under the truck by rearend and look front of REAR bumper and you ll see the exist holes there.

HTH!

Thanks I'll check them out. Really wish they had been an option for my truck.

Don't know what your budget is for this, but you could go with a reverse camera setup. They work pretty slick, but could get pricey to install. Then you can see exactly what is behind you. Just an Idea.
