I was wondering if anyone has installed the Edge Evolution programmer/monitor in their 2004-2006 Ford F-150? I was thinking of picking this bad boy up, but I wanted to hear the word on the street. I looks like it is a nice performance add on!
Dexsure !
I've had mine for about 2 months now. I love it, better shifting, throttle response, and best I can tell about 2 extra MPG. I use the TOW tune and am well pleased with it now.
I have my Edge installed and running on level 2 with +3 on shift firmness for a couple of weeks and really like it. While I have not noticed an mpg increase, I have noticed better performance and response from the truck.
Devilclaws....It sounds like Edge finally got you your file. I'm glad to hear that. Out of probably 200 of those 1 not working right isnt bad....I know they took a few weeks to fix it, but atleast they fixed it.
Just bought mine yesterday for an 05 Lariat SCREW....running it on the TOW setting...love it!
Really woke the truck up. Used the performance tester built into it for the 0-60 time. From a dead stop on a slightly graded freeway onramp, did the 0-60 in 8.91....not bad for heavy truck, w/o any other mods.

I HAVE THE EDGE, K&N FIPK, MAGNAFLOW CAT BACK, THE BEST 0-60 TIME I GOT WAS ON A MORNING IT WAS ABOUT 50 DEGREES OUT, I HAD ABOUT A 1/2 TANK OF GAS, AND HAD BEEN RUNNING THE TRUCK FOR ABOUT 10 MIN AND I DID THE 0-60 IN 7.23 SEC. WOW! THE BEST SINCE THEN IS 7.9 SEC. NORMALLY IT IS AROUND 8.19 SEC. I THINK THE TRUCK RAN A LOT FASTER WHEN IT WAS COLD OUTSIDE. OH, I WAS RUNNING THE EDGE ON LEVEL 3 AND STILL AM.

Do you have a Tonneau Cover? That would help with aerodynamics. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
I was looking at the K&N, and some exhaust headers. You open a ford engine up a bit and you get more power and better fuel economy<o></o>
Has anybody experinced this. Installed Evo on Saturday, changed tire size to 35" and selected tow option (2) thats all. worked fine on Saturday although I must admit it was not this drastic change in aceleration and so on. Driving on sunday transmission malfunction display, O/D light flashes on/off transmission starts missing, no reverse etc. Any suggestions. Evo gave me a program completed message. Even returned it to stock and tried to reprogram and same result
franky !
What happens when you return to stock? I had problems with mine on TOW tune where truck wouldn't start and I couldn't adjust tire size. Edge folks had to figure out what the problem was. Am up and running now though.
When I return to stock, nothing changes all problems still remain. The truck starts fine. main menu shows a "0" in the upper right corner meaning it should be returned to stock. tranny just has all kinds of problems slipping, not being in gear at all or wrong gear. like I mentioned malfunction display on the truck comes on. And also like I mentioned even though the unit said programming was complete when I changed tire size and Tow package I am not convinced anything at all happened performance wise. I know what happened failure wise for sure.
