Tailgate question...
The guy on the mercurypickup.com website has examples of all three tailgate styles pictured but they have the mercury lettering. Unfortunately, there is a 73-79 gate with mercury letters pictured like it was a genuine item but don't believe it. The one he has labelled 68#2 is the style you're looking for. (with Ford letters, of course)

Yup, '73-'79 looks funky. I have one on my '72.
I tried hard to get a good '67-'72, but the junkyard had slim pickings.
