Climate control unit replaced
Has anyone had to have their climate control unit replaced? I can't believe it's a $500 part available only from the dealer. $100 for the diagnostic, $500 for the part, $90 labor. Next time I'll know what it is but will only save the $190 for the labor and diagnostic. Sorry, just wanted to release some steam. I do most the work on my truck but this was a problem I needed some professional help on finding.

I'm not talking about just the **** where you adjust between hot and cold by turning it clock or counter clockwise. The automatic climate control in my '02 Lariat is one complete unit. Fan adjustment, vent selection, push button digital temperature adjustment, etc... all in one. Yes the **** on the other standard units runs about $12 from Ford.
