Lowering shackles
I want to lower the back of my 69 short bed just 1.5 - 2 inches just to level it out. That thing has overloads on it and the weirdest looking shackle system with a two tier rear. Is there a cheap way to get the back end down a bit without killing my load handling or my wallet??

Lowering shackles
I replaced the springs on my truck with new ones from www.eatonsprings.com . I bought the lighest rear springs available for that year. Truck sits almost level, little rake towards the front because of front tire diameter. I also use the progressively wound front coils from Eaton. Forget the price but it was less than I expected. Good service and an "Made in the USA".
