I heard they were all the same, but don't quote me on it.
Is your truck down right now?

What's an IDM? Not on acronym list.

I put an IDM out of a 2000 I bought off fleabay in a friends 1997. They are interchangeable. That was one of the first questions I actually asked when I found this place.

I've heard the 94-97 IDM's are better, from a modification standpoint. Otherwise, they are exactly the same and will interchange without issue.

IDM=Injector Driver Module---it basically sends a high voltage signal to the injectors to fire them. Does some signal checking in a feedback loop to the PCM.
It's like the amplifier in a stereo system that drives the speakers.

The IDM's are the same for 94-97 and 99-03 but all will interchange as long as it is a 7.3 power stroke it will not work with the 7.3 IDI or the 6.0

What made you want to replce your IDM anyway.
