My IDM quit three days ago. Purchased a 120 to replace my 100 on ebay and it is throwing a P1668 code, commo between IDM and PCM is bad.
I have continuity tested all wiring between the PCM and IDM, checked power and grounds, everything is good.
Is there anything else I can do ?

Might just be the fuse or the relay. My bet is on the relay.

FJ1 DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) P1670 and P1668
DTC P1668 and P1670 indicates that a communication error has occurred between the PCM and the IDM.
Possible causes:
Open fuse
IDM relay
Open or shorted IDM enable circuit
Open/short in EF circuit
Open/short in FDCS circuit
IDM powering circuits
PCM
Check for other codes.
Key on, engine off.
Perform KOEO On-Demand Self Test and retrieve Continuous DTCs.
Was DTC P1668 present?

Checked everything Glenn. Power and grounds are good. No p1670 code.
Paid overnight shipping too. Seller only offered to ship another one ground from FL. Asked them to ship 2 day. No bueno.

Let me guess you purchased from Pensacola diesel?
I purchased an IDM from them and haven't installed it yet. This thread reminds me that I need to, so I can find out if it will help me.I purchased a modded idm from a member on another website. If I had to guess I would say throttle response was lessned and it also threw codes aka was garbage.
