A friend and I are in the process of building a 71 F100 2wd. We are on a tight budget with most of the money going to the twin turbo 302. We want to lower the truck to give it a good stance. Does anyone know where we can get drop spindles? I would like to keep good alignment so cutting springs is out of the question.
They aren't drop spindles but, if you look in the suspension section of this site you will find a post about exactly what you are looking for. You will need to change the I-Beams. [link:www.djmsuspesion.com|djm suspension] This should give you a link to give you some options.
There are a couple more companies that make lowering I-Beams also. I can't think of them but if you check out the suspension section and check the 2nd or 3rd page you should find what yo are looking for.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 11-Sep-02 AT 10:22 PM (EST)]i found that aim industries had i-beams between 400-500 dollas and they are strong square beams instead of the round dream beams, they are a 3in drop and i called aim and they also said that you could go airride for under 1500
Several suppliers now offer lowering kits for F-100's. Now I can drop the front of my truck without to much problem.. as I was wanting to do the same this as you are..... they even have different set-ups that you can combine packages for up to a 4in drop
