I am looking at buying a diesel, my only problem is wheather to get the cummins 5.9L or the powerstroke 7.3L. I was wondering if anyone knew which had more power(HP, torque, etc.)
I love ford trucks but if the Cummins has more power I will get that. thanks
i have driven all three.the chevy is a pos. plain and simple.
the ford is the all around best truck.
dodge, while it does have the cummins, and it is a good engine, the truck around the engine is a pos, so it is not worth it.
i know 6 people that have bought dodges, and all but 1 traded them in on fords within 2 years. the one guy that still has his complaines about it falling apart every time he sees any of us, but he is of the misguided belief that mopar is good and all others are for loosers, so we have no pity for him.

Why not both: http://www.fordcummins.com/
as far as which engine is better, they are both good engines and with a few mods(air intake, exhaust, etc) they can both become screamers.
I have driven both and the Ford is a much better truck in every aspect. My buddy has an 03 Dodge and he is spending alot of money on it keeping it on the road. I think his truck has 10 more hp than my 00 but big deal, and he doesn't get any better mileage.
