for those of us with 05 3valve v10's thanks to keith browning better known in fte as ford doctor .today i found out that ford has a cure for codes
p0172.0175,p2106 hesition, surge ,harsh drive engagements with the 6.8ll engine
covered under TSB 05-18-06 there is 2 reflashes one for build dates 11/29/2004 and before and another for after 11/30/04.
sounds like FORD DOCTOR has found my p0175 code problem and something for the v10 men to remember.
mine had the surge problem and harsh shift into drive or 3rd gear.

My 06 has a little hesitation when standing on throttle around the 2nd to 3rd or 3rd to 4th shift, is that the one you are talking about with the new tsb, mine was born in early November of 05. I was just going to live with it, but I guess if I can get fixed I better do it. I am going to wait until I hear the fix works, runs to good otherwise to let a dealer fool with it. Don't trust dealers.
ddid some more checking and found another one tsb 06-3-9 has to do with the lose of rpm on deceleration and comeing to a stop , they have a even newer flash and have to check some readings and if out of a spec the t.b. and or t.s get replaced
Would that 06-3-9 tbs have anything to do with free wheeling slowing down unless the trans is in tow/haul mode. I have always thought the truck should slow down quicker being a gas engine, it acts more like my old 7.3 diesel.
i don't know.the tsb states loose of rpm on slow speed turning and slowing down. mine stalls every now and then so i'm getting every thing checked on monday.
just have to drive a bit this weekend and burn those new cats in some .

05 f350 v10 TS
truck has been hanging up in 2nd gear--its usually when Im in tow\haul
and I have decelerated and then accelerate- it winds up to 3-4000rpm
for like 10 secs then bang into the next gear-- it has recently started doing this in the 4th to 5th transition while cruising on the highway.

i have not seen any tsb on that problem.only one causeing a stalling when braking caused by the lock up solinode sticking that states they have to replace the solinode
what you are talking about is to me. means time to ask your dealer about it. the ts just has not banged on me ever.
get it checked out.
