sweating bullets!!!

fellas, i installed a mus 11 from zigs in my 53. I cant really tell and hope you can give me some measurements. For the life of me the front pass side tire looks a little deep to the rear of the truck and the driver side looks great. I took it les schwab and had it aligned and told them my thoughts and they said it aligned up just fine. You guys know what I mean when I say it looks to deep. I have about a inch to spare as in lining up the fenders so what im getting at is there a true measurement from the front rail to the front of the cross to tell me the perfect setting and what the hell do I do if it is back an inch or so???? Thanks DJ

Simply measure from the center of the front wheel to the center of the rear wheel on both sides. If it's a std F100 the measurement should be 110" on both sides. If the kit you used allows for the adjustment of the wheelbase to correct the factory too far rearward placement of the front axle, the wheelbase may now be around 111.5 - 112". No matter what, the dimension should be the same on both sides. The best time to check would have been before everything was welded up solid tho.

Your fenders may be misaligned somehow giving the illusion that the front axle isn't properly located. I haven't seen your truck but if it aligned properly and as AX says, the distance from axle centerline to axle centerline is the same, the probem isn't the MII axle, it is misaligned sheet metal. Make yourself feel better and check the front to rear axle measurements to ensure they are the same then enjoy your upgrade.

I agree with texan2004, also be sure your cab is sitting square on the frame.

cocked cab was my thought too. it's one of your datum points for alignment and if it's off, the rest would be too.
