Up in NC you must get below 30 degrees F in the winter, a good test on your synthetic tranny oil, post news at 11.

I never really paid attention to the ease of shifting, so I guess that means it was usaully fine.

"For the 203/205 use what manufacture recommends."

Hmmmm, this seems to vary depending on which truck maker or which particular "reference" you use......and it seems I've gotten a plethora of different options for this one......I still need an answer as to what to use in the t-fer case....is it 50wt? 30wt? one of those with this "honda motocycle formula" added?

A synthetic 75w90 gear oil is what I use on the transfer case.
or straight 30 w oil for use in the colder climates or a 50w for hotter climates.
Oil made today are made to a higher quality oils standartd.
