what type oil does one use in 7.3 1991 non turbo

Only diesel rated oil, Shell Rottella T 15-40 (Wallymart) would be my choice. The filters I would get from IH/Fleetguard ....Oil....LF 3630 Fuel....FG 1281 Air ...I use a Fram #?

The LF 3630 is the PSD oil filter and holds 1 extra qt for a total of 11qts, better filtration and 1qt more oil will allow the manual stated 5000 mile or 8000KM oil change easily.

CI-4 rated oil for all diesels. There has been some users who accidently put gas burner rated oil in a diesel. It could be bad news if left in the diesel.
