Well, my ITP overboost kit came in today. happily ripped the Dual Relief Valve out, and put in the regulator. went to town to the ATM for fuel money, and i took a route that was slightly uphill and then leveled out that would let me get into it. i shifted into 2nd, locked the TC at about 1200 rpm, then just cruised along to about 30mph and then mashed the pedal. boost piled on amazingly fast, and i held 25psi constantly. im amazed that it wouldn't go over that. i held it in third, (OD off) but it didnt want to shift. finally it shifted into 3rd (still at WOT) and the boost jumped to 29spi and PSSHWTT.. there went the intercooler pipe. limped a hundred yards or so to a safe place to pull off. man how embarassing it is to sit alongside the road with your hood up as cars go by and look. THANK GOD i had the 11mm wrench i needed to put it back on. not that im too worried about it because 25psi seems to be my sweet spot, but do you think it is a fuel problem? maybe a pump?
