73 F100 Engine Swap question?

Hello,

I was looking for information on swapping engines. I was given a 250 cid out of a 68 Mustang. Would this fit in a 73 F 100 that has a 240 cid?

Thanks for any help.

Nope. Different bell housing, IIRC, plus different flywheel, much smaller block, different mounting system, etc.

Thanks, It looked like a smaller block. Engine and truck are in to different locations.

Isn't the bell on the 250 in the SB pattern, same as the 240/300/302 etc?

Not that it makes the other issues easier to deal with.

The bell is the same on the 250, but everything else is different. Good little motors, but probably not all that sutable for a full sized truck.
