Swapping Engines 73 F100

Hello,

I was looking for information on swapping engines. I was given a 250 cid out of a 68 Mustang. Would this fit in a 73 F 100 that has a 240 cid?

Thanks for any help.

Welcome to the site, I can't give you a straight up answer, but if the bell housing is the same, and the motor mounts are set up the same, then yes, but you might want to try posting that question in one of the proper engine forums, b/c I've never heard of anything smaller than a 300 in a 73-79 truck and that might not be stock in the first place(which I don't think it is).

You could try putting you vin # in this link, and it might show you different.
Good luck.
