I am the proud owner of a 1968 F-250 Camper Speical. I need a new brake drum for the front. At the local parts soter nietehr one of thier numbers match what I have. Did Frod do something strange with this truck or has it been changed. I need all the help I can get on this. Thank you very much.
To replace a front brake drum on my 70 f100 i just took the wheel bearing out i never touched the studs

On a old truck, I would replace both drums and the wheel bearings, shoes, brake cylinders and rubber brake lines. If all these parts are in good order, I would look for a part number on the other drum. Check with other parts suppliers and try using a newer year model when you are talking to the counter person. I usually lie and ask for parts for a 79 F150. 90% of the stuff fits just fine.
