Sky Jacker Suspension Lift???

I have a 1979 ford F150 4x4 that I am planning on installing a 6" suspesion lift in. I was looking through the skyjacker website, but could not figure out exactly how complete the kit is. I was planning on going with the kit that includes both front and rear new springs. I was also wondering how hard it is to install a skyjacker kit??

I'll put it this way. I'm 16 years old, and have a few tools(like 1/2" socket set up to 1 1/4"), cheater bar, some WD40, jacks, and jack stands and I installed a 6" lift on my 79 Bronco in my front yard by my self.
Skyjacker is a very good quality lift, and you would be very happy with it.
What size tires you plan on running?
Also, what are you planning on using your truck for?

Skyjacker is a great lift, there should be 2 kits, one that is everything you need, including rear springs, and one that is everything except it has rear blocks instead of springs. Most kits dont come with shocks or brakelines, both of which you will need.

I was looking around for tires and I found that the IROK's looked pretty good and they were nice and cheap, compared to my SSR's I had put on my 75 F250 before I sold it. I was planning on fitting 36x13.50 bias, and I will probubly run cutout fender flares. I will be using it mainly for a weekend off roader, we have a bunch of swamps out here, as well as snow running in the winter.

DunebuggyDave, If you plan on running a 6" lift, the 36x13.50-15 Irocs w/ fit w/ plenty of articulation and flex room. That's what I have on my 79 Bronco w/ 6" lift. You don't need cut outs unless you want to run about 38-39" tires.

Hey, thanks MBBFord. I always see guys putting 35's on with 9 inch's of lift, so I wasen't sure. I kinda thought it would work though since my 75 HiBoy could fit 35x12.50 ssr's with only a slight bit of rub at full flex with the wheel turned so that the edge of the tire was nearest to the fender. Thanks for your help.

Most new trucks can only fit 31s stock, and I could easily fit 33 or 34s w/ the right backspacing on my rims, but w/ a 4" lift you can clear 36s nicely, but I have a 6" lift on 36s and when I flex, it fills the wheel wells real nice and makes me glad I didn't settle for a 4" lift.
On those 36" Irocs, make sure your front end is allinged right, all the tires are properly balanced and you rotate them regularly, b/c If you don't they won't get have the miles your suposed to get out of them. Other than that those tires are AWESOME in the mud and for about $167 a piece you can't beat that.
