Dual steering stabilizer/ Is stock one still needed?

I have a 2005 F-350 King Ranch Diesel DRW. Its is still at stock height, but I have installed a Skyjacker dual steering stabilizer. Skyjacker says the kit is designed for use with a 4" lift. After installing it a can see why. The stud on the stock stabilizer hits and crushes the driver side shock on the stabilizer kit. Is the stock shock still needed, or can it be removed since I am running a dual stabilizer kit.

Stock stabilizer should be removed, at least that what most companies say. I removed mine with my rough country dual stabilizer and it works great.

No need to retain the stock stabilizer if you're going with a dual setup. I was more than happy to trash my stock stabilizer when I upgraded to a dual setup.
