funny noise. fuelpump?
Some times when waiting for the glow plug light to go out it sounds like a motor running under the hood, Like a fuel pump. Sometimes it does it sometimes it dont and it dosent quit untill the motor starts. Seems wrong to me because it dosent always do it. any Ideas

I think so too. Maybe a small vacuum leak. You shoul dbe able to hear the fuel pump the same every time (or not hear it). The pump gets really loud when it starts giving you fits.

The vacuum pump is on the passenger side of the engine. There's a vacuum canister right in front of it. Diesels don't have any vacuum so they need a little pump to power things like your vents and 4x4 hubs. You can't hear it when the engine is running. Sometimes it needs to build vacuum, sometimes it doesn't. Unless your vents and hubs stop working, it's fine.
