ignition Q's

Hey, im hooking up a remote start in my 93 bronco, and I need to know what color the ignition wire, the starter wire, and the ACC wire is under the dash at the ignition. It would be really helpful if somebody could tell me what colors and exactly where to find them.

Welcome to FTE and the Big Bronco Forum. We will do what we can to help you out. Recommended reading is ANYTHING marked Read First: in this forum and any others. Often these threads will have answers before you can ask the question. The search function is as valuable as the site itself.

Its gonna be a bit more complicated than that. The ignition switch is fed by three separate fuses in the underhood fuseblock and each feeds a different group of circuits in the truck. My recommendation would be to get a copy of a Haynes service manual and locate the particular circuits you need to access.

The feed for the MLPS (which eventually gets to the start solenoid) is a RED/LT. BLUE wire. There is also a RED/LT. GREEN wire that feeds multiple circuits in the instrument cluster AND Fuse U in the underhood fuseblock which ultimately feeds the ignition control module and the ECA power relay. Finding them up inside the column is gonna be a nightmare. You would be better off tracing them to the components that need to be controlled by the remote start system.
