I ordered the MBPR 5" and the WW Friday. From Xtreme Diesel. I am not afraid of the exhaust install but the wicked wheel isn't something I have ever attempted. So if anyone could point me to faq or install post that would be great. I did a search but way too many posts came up to sort thru them. So while I have the truck down, what other little mods would be good to do. i want to get it all done in a day.

Also I need--want-- a leveling kit for the truck. Was thinking of a add a leaf but wanted to ask the "experts" what the cons were with that. What do you all recommend that I get?

Side note I demolished a deer friday night fortunately I have an industrial strength brush guard. So no known damage. I should of taken a picture of the remnants of the deer stuck in my trucks teeth. But, i didn't so here is a picture of the truck's brush guard. This was taken when i first bought it home.

Here's an article on the wicked wheel. https://www.ford-trucks.com/article/...tallation.html

I've got a single add a leaf....rides like crap. Multi leaf pack would probably be better.

Good looking rig!

On the leveling kit, I have an add-a-leaf and don't partucularly like it. Like cookie said, it rides like crap. It was on the truck when I bought it, but I am currently looking for replacements. The DR leveling kit looks pretty good and I've heard lots of good things about them. I'm looking at the 4.5" lift though, but their leveling kit will be of the same quality.

I just installed a Tuff Country add a leaf to my F350 and am extremly happy with how it rides. I was worried about the ride but it rides as good as stock, and for under 100 bucks was one reason I went with that kit. It raised the front of my truck 1.75" so it sits one inch lower than the rear and when I put a load in the bed it sets level.

I just did the WW this weekend. Way easier than I thought it would be. Did it on the truck using BlackCloudDiesel.com's instructions. Pretty simple to follow.

While you have it apart to do the WW inistalation, I would do the CCV mod as well.

Am I missing something about the leveling kits?
Wouldn't it be easier to put a block in between the axle and the bottom of the spring and get some longer u-bolts?
That way you don't get the buckboard ride.

Kwik, it's actually illegal in some states to put a block on your front axle to lift or level. It's a very unstable setup.

Not to sound retarded but is the add-a-leaf just that....one leaf? I installed the Tuff Country leveling kit, it was a five spring pack (2.5"). It's no cadillac but rides nice in my opinion. It leveled out nice too.

Not to sound even more retarded, so your kit replaced the OEM leafs altogether then right?

Some are smaller packs, some are just one leaf. They vary from brand to brand. Mine (brand unknown) is just one leaf.

I used the 2.5 spring pack from Jackit.com.(http://www.jackit.com/store/supercart.cgi?s=fd410sd) They are not a sponsor, but was the least expensive at the time. They run free shipping form time to time. As far as the ride goes, it is quite a bit stiffer. I like the ride better that before. I believe the original springs had gotten weak and soft. As far as the install, it wasn't to bad. It would have been better if I had waited on some help. Be sure to order according to your build date. 99's have several choices.

Very true!! As you turn, especially if you make a hard turn, the lateral forces exterted on the front suspension could actually roll the springs off of a block. I'm sure you can fill in the rest of the blanks from there.
