Burning up distributor caps
I've got a '68 F-100 , motor's a '72 351w, no emissions, pretty much stock, but the ignition is an electronic unit from a '77 cougar. (The motor when I bought the truck was from the same cougar, a wore out 351w).
Anyway the current motor was recently rebuilt, and runs decent but idles rough and eats distributor caps like nobody's business. I've changed all the ignition parts, box, coil, stator, and it keeps up. What gives??
