Hey, they have a 5 bladed job out now.

Before long, they are going to have so many blades, you would be able to lift it with one hand. I guess i shouldnt make fun, but i use a razor with two blades...everything after that is a good example of the 'law of diminishing returns". They are so wide you can't get to some places. I am curious what lead to it...."hmm...one blade is good, two blades is better, three blades is not really an improvement...but hell, lets put 5 in there for grins! "

????

Remember the "The first one lifts the whisker then the second one cuts it" for the Trac II ?

Now is must be, "the 1st one gently rubs the cream on it, the 2nd one makes sure it got it, the 3rd one cuts a small potion of it, the 4th one gets the rest of it, and the 5th one applies a special cream to it treat the skin.

The way I understand them 5 blade jobs is that each blade is supposed to take one layer of hair at a time off. Well, heck if it keeps going that way, sooner or later you will have 12 blades and no face by the time you are finished.

So i should just get used to the idea of not getting more than like a week or 2 from each razor? I have never heard of the cold water on the razor to rinse it between strokes. What does it do for you? Also, just normal rubbing alcohol in a covered container? Any other ideas? Lately my face feels like sandpaper and looks like I used a beltsander to shave, since I have to be smooth shaven for work I need some help here.

Talking

Well you could do like my old drill instructor said he did; use a hammer to drive the whiskers in from the outside and then bite them off from the inside.Yikes, he was a mean one. All muscle and mouth!

I shave in the shower, I run as hot of water as I can stand on my face, for a minute or a little longer, before I lather up. Softens up the beard some.

Some blades have a lubricating strip on them; I don't know how well those strips would stand up to being soaked in alcohol for extended periods.
