dimming mirror mod
Anyone have wiring info for door dinger mod ,I think it has something to do with head lights comming on when door is opened ..by the way this is the best forum and research format ive seen anywhere!!!![img]images/icons/icon14.gif[/img]

Yeah that's a new one to me as well.
I'd assume you could just tap power from the dome light (which is 12V) and route it to the headlights, that way when you open the door they would come on, but they would come on during the day as well, and whenever you turn the dome light on period.
That's the only logical way I could imagine doing it besides finding a car with this as an option (I think Buick first...) and getting the module or whatever is necessary and adapting it. Not easy to say the least. Cool if you got it workin' though.

Run the power from the 12v power dome to a relay to power your headlights. You really don't want to put that much of a voltage strain on your dome circuit. You might be able to run the 12v signal from the dome to the headlight switch, splice into the headlights and go from there. That would probably be the most direct route.
