5": exhaust

Want to thank everyone with their exhaust suggestions. GeoffNJ, Mark's exhaust was worth every penny. 4" down pipe, 5" from there back,no muffler and 6" stainless tip. the tip was reallyyyyyy nice too, not cheap like i thuoght it would be, for only $430 to my door.I can't really describe the sound, but everybody notices it!!! Hats off to Mark, now I need to get a chip or tuner any thoughts.

C'mon, Nut. Come to the dark side...

Simms, congrats on the cannon. Glad I could help you decide. The sound is cool and hard to describe. There's something familiar about it but, I can't quite figure it out.

Are you still in love with the sound? I'd love to get gauges and chip but, I have to attend to some other fixes and mods. The fun stuff will be the cherry on top.

Did you ever think that you'd be envious of something that's only 5"?

Just came to me, sorry...

Ah, but in the land of 3 1/2 inchers, the 5 incher would be king.

What's the sound difference between the 5" with a muffler and without? I am going to be getting a 5" exhaust system soon from Mark. I want to Disturb the Peace. Any advice.

I can't answer for straight pipes but, mine is pretty loud when I step on it. I have the muffler and wanted it that way.

If you want to make some noise, straight pipe.

straight pipe

It's loud for a diesel, but not to loud. I get a lot of looks. The only problem I see know is I can't exactly sneak in from a late night of racing.I love it anyhow, was 65 deg. here today and riding w/windows down it sounded great.Although my wife was looking at me strangely, she get over it.
