Has anybody else seen this thing. I read about it in Truck Trends Magazine. www.hell-ya.com. I can't believe somebody would take the liability of selling this thing.
Ever seen the movie "The Long Long Trailer" with Lucy and Desi? The trailer that they are pulling with the old Merc is equipted with a dolly under the hitch. I suspect they might have been common in the days when those hugh trailers were towed with ordinary passenger cars.
I think I will run out and buy one and remove my air bags, I just wonder how much weight that 4 lug wheel will hold, maybe I should buy two and put them end to end.
Download the video and they show how fast it came be installed but not what its like in use. Looks like a real pile of you no what to me.
I find it interesting that there is a disclaimer that "Road Speed and Tongue Weight Should Not Exceed Tire Manufacturer's Recommendations" but no mention is made of vehicle manufacturers recommendations.
I guess that means that if I put one on my Ranger, I'd be able to haul as much weight as it could move, with no concerns about the suspension, axles, or brakes...right??
Did you look at the price of the thing. There can't be any more than $50 worth of parts there. I think they need the big profit margin to pay for the law suits.
If anyone is thinking of purchasing one of these, find a freind to do this
