I see it now, Sewing maching Mods Section, sew this and sew that, running sewing machine with larger bobbins, 5 horse power engines or direct drive off out engine cranks...lol.....just being funny, excuse me..lol

Really my Grandmother showed me when i was a kid a long time ago how to use one, there not that hard with a little practice...

I might try this since my filter will be in tomorrow..

Well, here it is, just a little over two years later, and it was finally time for another upgrade. Pete made a custom cover for my 6637, and I thought I'd show it off.

Thanks, Pete. It's just how I would have done it if I had the talent! :-))

Edit: Hmmm, not able to post photos? Wonder why? I'll try again.

Edit again: I'm pretty frustrated by the inability to now post photos after our "upgrade". I haven't a clue what special switches in FireFox need setting to allow it, but my version of Java is the newest, as is FireFox. I can't even upload photos to my gallery any more.

Edit once again: Is there anyone using FireFox 2.0.0.13 with Java 1.6.0 that would be willing to spend some time off-line talking me through what I'm doing wrong?

I give up. If I email the jpg to someone, will you post it for me?

Not bad looking at all. any chance of getting it a little tighter around the intake tube for a cleaner look, would be really nice

I had mine made longer to cover up the clamps at the end of it. It was also pouring the rain and was starting to blow in on me so I just took some quick pictures.

Thank you Marv, and Justin, and others.

I can make the cover more snug. My "standard" version is really snug around the end, but the clamps do show. Justin asked for the extra length, and I had to guess at how much extra he needed. We added 1-1/2 inches, but it looks like 1 inch would be just about right and still cover the clamps, at least for Justin. To be honest, the extra length required will vary a little depending on whether or not a piece of exhaust pipe or PVC pipe is used for a trnasition piece and how long that transition piece is. I fear that it would be virtually impossible to have a tight fit for everyone without the exact dimension from the outermost clamp to the top edge of the side wall.

One more thing about teh snug fit over the clamps. As good as it looks, it will place a little more stress on the cinch cord seam, and there would be some small potential for developing a wear hole from vibration and rubbing.

I figured out what I'm going to have to do for a while to have photos to illustrate my words. Since I have my own website, I'll just host my own photos.

Here's a picture of my newest under-hood addition:

Wash, yes. No dryer. Air dry only. The dryer heat has the potential to melt the heat transfer logo - just to be safe!

Since the fabric is 100% polyester, just wring it out and it will air dry very quickly in the sun.

yup. as Pete said, wash it in the machine and hang it up for a few hours to air dry in the sun.
