Getting ready to add 2nd epoxy coat to the front grill after initial metal work and dent removal to cover bare metal exposed on sanding to reveal high/lows on dents. From there I plan on skimming remaining high/lows with contour filler, sanding that down, then adding several coats of polyester high build and then blocking that down. I am letting the body shop do all the final blocking, sealing, and finish coats.
For the epoxy and high build primers, should I use a pneumatic paint mixer or will a stir stick be adequate?
I'm assuming your talking about mixing the primer before adding the catalyst/hardener.
A pneumatic mixer is faster but you can use a stir stick.
Make sure you're stirring all the way to the bottom of the can. You are trying to evenly mix the solids that settle to the bottom with the solvent.
For mixing the primer and activator, I've always used a stir stick.

I use this to mix, just attaches to my drill and makes quick work of it. Just make sure you slowly start the drill and then speed up to avoid splashing.
