what is the difference between a l/s and the 'no-slip system'. i was reading on their web site, says it doesnt use clutches. i am interested in something for a plow truck, was wondering if i'd be happy w/ a l/s, or should i go this route?
Power trax is either both wheels or only one wheel putting power to the ground. Limited slip uses clutches to distribute the power. I have a powertrax and it works great. I would never go with anything else.
how does it perform in winter? does it act like a locker, or is it mostly invisble like they advertise? do you have the 'no-slip' or 'lock right'? they are 2 different systems. i'm interested in the no-slip traction system
never looked at this one particially, but it sounds like a ratchet locker to me. it will unlock under light gas on corners, and lock up under throttle going straight. im not sure though, could be somthing different.
I have the lockrite, and it is pretty mild on the street, but is fully locked offroad. I looked at the no slip, but it was more. It is supposed to be better than the lockrite, but that is barely possible. The lockrite is really nice.

I have the Powertrax No-Slip in the rear of my 84 F150 and a Trac Lok limited slip in the front, together they work awesome. I have very positive experiences with the Powertrax, it has held up well I have had it in the truck for almost 4 years now and it has yet to let me down. Once I had it in, completely changed the way the truck handled off road. However I cannot say I have never had it stuck since. It was very easy to install with no special tools or lube additives needed, installation time 30-45 minutes. My little brother is also running a Powertrax in the rear of his 85 GMC Jimmy S15 4wd, with 30x9.50 mudders...it's a little tank. It was a tad pricey, I seem to recall it being around $460 for my 31 spline Ford 8.8, worth every penny! BTW it does handle a tad squirrely in the winter (a limited slip would also)in my pickup, the Jimmy isn't too bad though.
I'm running lockrights front and rear, love em' to death, and i would strongly recomend them for anyone wanting a locker without the hassle of installation or cost of a full case locker
