Powertrax Lockers?

Has any one tried powertrax no-slip lockers? They seem like something to be skeptical of since there a good bit cheaper. How do you think they would hold up to very large tires, and a big block in the mud, and hills. (no rocks).

Lunch box lockers utilize the stock open carrier and use the stock pinion gear cross pin. These are weak links and break often. Large tires will bring an end to the lunchbox locker. A full carrier locker is best and well worth the extra money. Cant go wrong with a Detroit...........

These are what is referred to as a "lunch box locker". It is a locker(similar to a lock-right) that only replaces the spider gears in an open differential. Now as far as lunch box lockers go, powertrax is the smoother of the other brands out there. However, these lockers do not add any strength to your diff because you are using the stock carrier. They are pretty easy to install with no special tools. You do not have to remove the carrier, just the spider gears. It is highly recommended to upgrade your carrier center pin when you install a lunch box too. As for standing up to large tires and big HP, spend the money on a Detroit. They wont stand up to anything larger than 33" tires under moderate abuse and nominal power. Not the best choice for a full sized truck with anything larger than 31" tires. They will work with larger tires, but nothing to rely on. Hope this helps.
