Does anyone know if the "Platinum Edition" was only made for 1 year? How bout this, What Im really interested in is the Sun Visor with the integrated roof marker lights that came with that package. Anybody know where I could get one? What all did that package contain?

I believe that visor was welded on, which makes for a pita install. Hard to replace windshields too.

I think you're describing the Lariat LE. The main differences between the LE and regular Lariat are the paint color (in the LE, it's one color along the bottom, then another along the middle, then the first color along the top again, often) and the visor (which I don't think is welded on...). You could also get four captains chairs, like you can in the King Ranch now.

If the visor is all you're interested, there are several aftermarket "sun visors" available, with cab lights and without - Lund makes them, like Pat W posted.

Ford did make a "Platinum Edition" which had a steel visor welded and painted. Lunds are plastic and bolted on, which in my opinion and experience is a very bad thing to do to your roof.

 

I see why they only made it for a year...
