Some chips will extend far enough past the original case cover plate that they will not allow the plastic cover to slide in enough to properly align the holes in the brackets, that's probably why yours is loose. If you pull the plastic cover towards you, it should slip off the PCM and expose the chip. Here is a pic from when I was cleaning the contacts to install my chip. It has one cover off and you can see the contacts that the chip slides onto through the opening at the end of the case.

Thanks guys. Mine had a X-Power chip in it from bigdaddiesel.com. It runs like a lame horse without it. The chip was not held in there good. Either it came partly out when I slid the PCM out of the black sleeve or it was loose for a long time. Also, the harness was barely held on with the center bolt as well. Maybe I just solved my "chugging like a locomotive every now and then" problem!

But it runs awesome with the 85 hp setting from the Predator!! And sorry I hijacked your thread!
