So even thought the manual has #961 listed as ground, it is actually power for the dome light? How would I incorporate the door jamb switches into the mix?
Two options to wiring the dome light, for the Option 1 (I recommend this setup) D1 - ground to head light switch light - supply a negative power directly to head light switch - black 18 guage wire.
D2 - to dome light - 961 - from head light switch to dome light - black 18 guage wire.
-945 - 18 guage white wire - direct positive feed to dome light and interior lights from fuse panel.
Negative power main feed thru door switch, when door switch triggered, it will supply negative feed to dome light and interior lights and light bulbs will glow.
Or negative power for dome light switch will make light glow when switch is triggered.

-continued Dome light- Option 2 D1 - Positive "+" power to head light switch light - 945 - positive power directly to head light switch - white 18 guage wire.
D2 - to dome light - run a new 18 guage wire for positive feed - from head light switch to dome light and interior lights - white 18 guage wire.
-961 - 18 guage black wire - direct negative feed to dome light and interior lights.
Positive power from - 945 - thru door switch, when door switch triggered, it will supply positive feed to dome light and interior lights and light bulbs will glow.
Or positive power for dome light switch will make light glow when switch is triggered
