73 F100 Vin Codes

Can anyone tell me where I can find infor on the Vin # down to the color? I have searched and found everything else.....

Look inside the drivers door. It will list the color code along with the transmission codes and axle codes.

The VIN by itself will not tell you the color. Like expained above you need to look at the data displayed inside the door jamb. There may be a build sheet still hidden in the area above the headliner above the passenger or driver's side doors. There is also a build sheet in hidden under the seat between the cushion and the springs.

I guess I should explain further. I was in a hurry.

The paint code is listed as a 5. I am trying to find out what the color that code is. That is all it says is....... 5.

What color is it?

There wasn't a code 5 for colour that year.

Perhaps it is an S instead.

Do we have a paint chip set, or a web site that shows the color. Im trying to see if it is the color that the truck is.

No, I didnt know I have a special odered truck.

I am just in the process of learning about Fords. I just like this truck.

Got anymore details for this truck? I would appreciate it if you do.

I just had the frontend rebuilt, and tires, wheels and shocks. I am working on rebuilding the trans this weekend if I get all the manuals in time.

Im looking for a good set of used headers at the moment, then I will be working on the body and paint.

I am building a overhead and floor console myself and then I will do the interior, then the motor.........

A never ending project, but it runs and drives realy good.
