The 79 is 5 on 5.5"

I think the pattern changed in 97.

Dennis is correct, in 97 the pattern changed to metric 135mm spacing so the wheels will not fit the older 5x5.5 lug pattern.

Yeah those RAT*******S changed the bolt pattern after 50 some years.16 inch 5 bolt Dodge wheels do bolt on however. You just have to wash the Dodge germs off them to keep your FORD healthy and HAPPY.
<p>Geez I can say Dodge but I cant say that ?HHHHMMMMMMMMMM

Check out www.tomzwheels.com, I don't think you can beat their prices. I bought a new set of Eagle alloy wheels 15x8 for around 300.00 incl. shipping, good luck!

The 97-03 wheels use a 5 x 135mm bolt pattern and the wheels center on the hubs, not the lugs. They also use 12mm (early) and 14mm (later 2001-up for sure) lugs. They did this because the brakes are so bug now, that they didn't want people trying toput 15" wheels on them. Only 16" or larger.
