the one on the left is the exhaust brake, i think the orange is activate upon brake input, and the other one is for constant ON, while the one on the right is the torque converter lockup. when it's locked the LED comes on.

Correct...almost. Left switch position is the other way around - up & orange is constant on, red & down is brake input activation. Right switch is TC lock & green lights up when TC is locked, whether it be from the computer or by my switch.
Quick? Why not get the programer with the dp-tuner tunes added? You get the code reader, ect with the programmer and it comes with 3 of DPT file loaded. If you buy the 6 flip chip with 6 files it's over $500. SCT programmer w/3 files is 439.

That's not a bad compromise, but it's nice to be able to flip through tunes with the chip. That's the trade-off having the code reader. The price for the tuner with DP tuner tunes is actually $459, $439 with SCT tunes. Additional stock tunes are $45, so if you had six tunes the cost would be higher than a chip but you have the code reader. There are good options that should suit most anyone, just personal preference.
My 6 position chip was more like $475. And, the ability to change settings on the fly was one of the big draws for me. That may not be important to everyone, but I was getting really tired of having to shut the truck down and wait for new programs to load. Plus, as pointed out before (I think) I can start the truck on the stock setting to get it safely warmed up.
