I have a 2000 F350 Lariat without fog lights. If I purchase a set of the stock lights are the wiring harnesses there already or would I need to wire everything in?
Good question.....thought about that too. I know that you will have to change the headlight switch becasue that is where they are turned on/off at....but ebay has those.
I just did my own lights for $30. They have their own switch. When I was doing mine though there was no wiring allready done for them. Mine is 2000 F-250 Lariat. I am guessin thats probably one of those things that is considered an upgrade.
You can pick up a kit to install the OEM fog lights in trucks that did not come with them. I have been debating installing one in my truck, but the kit is like $300. I have also looked at aftermarket ones, but they just dont look the same.
If you want to use the headlight switch to control the fogs, you'll need a newer version (if you truck is a 2000 or before) - on them, the pull out of the **** is only for removing the switch, and doesn't control anything.
You can also just mount a separate switch somewhere to control the fogs.
The factor "fogs" on newer trucks aren't actually fog lights, they're really driving lights. True fog lights are amber/yellow, and have a wide, low beam.
You can get some good quality but small driving lights to mount in the position of stock fogs such as the hella DE lights or similar, and probably for much less than whatever Ford charges for their stock "fog lights."
My Excursion didn't come with factory lights so I installed a set of aftermarket lights. At the same time, I installed a front receiver so I had the entire bumper off. I never saw any factory wiring while I was in there.
I was actually looking to improve my high beams so I just wired up a relay to one of the high beam wires behind the headlight housing so when ever my high beams come on, so do the extra lights. I didn't see the need for a manual switch since I always wanted these to come on. The front receiver also gave me a perfect, easy mounting location for the new lights. I just tapped a couple holes in the main cross tube and flush mounted the lights on it.

I just installed the Ford fog lights in my truck and there was no wiring for it. I had to buy the wiring harness and the fog lights from Ford dealer. and yes you have to take off bumper if you have transmission cooler.
