Fogged on the fog lights! again!.

Had a viper alarm system put in the duty a while back!
Got to protect myself from the Supermonsta this winter!
''''

Don't know if the installer did something or not but before I go knocking down doors ,i want to figure this out

Well with all the rain an fog today I turn them on they didn.t work
oh @#%$#@$# .well got home pulled the fuses(#43) all good ,chk for 12 volts at the lamps ,nothing 0 volts ,chk the ground its okay.

Now how did you guys get that headlight switch out of the dash without
breaking it??????I want to test the switch?

Guys don't trust the Helm manuals I'm finding mistakes in the wiring diagrams ,they have already sent me 2 updated books for the wiring.
for free though

There is supposed to be a relay on the cjb(central junction box)K26
it says it is not serviceable it controls the fog lamps,I hope this isn't bad because you must replace the cjb. There is also a diode in the circuit somewhere in line with relay.

Head lamps work normal ,everything else works in the truck, just those dang fog lamps don't work

anybody got a clue about this ??????????

Rich
Ps I know how to turn the switch on so no jokes!

Forty,

I believe there is a small notch on the bottom of the switch face plate. Just pry out and it will come right out.

I have'nt messed with any wiring yet so I can't help you there.

Sorry guys !I should have let you know sooner I fixed it, the inline diode fell out.
yeah ! I know you think I'm crazy but thats what happened.
I pulled the switch ,tested it,I was looking for the diode that the manual says is there inline between the switch and the relay.
I look through the switch opening and see the diode half out of the socket. These diodes look like the newer fuses and plug into a socket .
plugged it in and tried everything and it worked.the only thing i can figure is the viper installer must have moved it enough and when I was driving over some bumpy roads in fell out ,go figure that one.

Nickdoni! ball peen hammer''''

I don't forget! watch out!!!!!!
