My key broke off in the ignition lock cylinder and i cant get it out... does anyone know how to remove the entire lock cylinder assembly??? please help... thanks
take the plastic covers off the colum. u need the key in the on position. on the under side of the cylinder on the colum there is a pin. you have to push that pin in (toward the cylinder) and then pull out. but like said u have to have the key in the on position for 1 the pin to go in 2 to pull it out. the replace ment goes in the same way. key on push in and the pin will "pop" into locked positon.
On my '98, you don't need to remove the shroud or the wheel or anything else. There is a hole accessible from underneath the column. Look for it between the two screws.
