It's quarter til 2AM, day after St. Pats. Dunno why I suddenly woke up again - I had a few at home, read a book, went to sleep early.
Road blocks are probably out and as busy as new years.
I'm still here, and have not gotten any collect calls from the county lock up so life is good. I'm looking forward to a G2G in Atoka this afternoon.
Anyone heard of any St Pats day casualties? How are you? Everything go okay?
I'm about to step out for a few minutes and see if the three way near my house is staked out just for a laugh...
(Return)
It's all very quiet out there. Couple of train horns way off in the distance, no stake out, very little traffic, only one dog barking.
But I bet in San Diego and Norfolk right now they are picking them up and packing them in.
Figure two or three hours to process each booking, and then the phone calls to relatives and friends from the open population holding cells will begin.
It's bad juju for a holiday like this to fall on a friday night.

Stayed home all night, had a few drinks, watched some old movies, thought about family. Went and tucked my son back into bed a little while ago, kissed him, now its daddys bed time. Not much of a get out and party guy anymore, its true, being a father definatley changes your perspective.
I hope all made it home safely, or stayed where they were in there current condition.
stayed in also not that i go out anymore my wifes mom is here from fl, her sis from deleware. corned beef and cabbage for dinner. nancy even had beer. it was a good day
Had two accidents here one while was eatin breakfast cop, ambluance, and fire truck all took of one right after another then round 2 herd lot of sirenes for a while..
and dad just called for me to check on mom..didnt even know she was sick..so it'll be enteresting to see if my brother and his wife are sick too (they all had same meal)
Well I had a partial great day.
It started off crappy because the dome light was left on in the car from the Wednesday I guess so the battery was almost dead when I went out to start it.
I had to put the charger on for an hour.
The worst part was while wrenching on the nut I snapped my elbow out ( The breakdown of muscle tone continues )
Finally got to Calgary at 12:30 pm bought my new phone, new CDR-RW,Picked up Michelle, visited my 89 yr old Aunt, when to the Restaurtant/Bar Melanie (Michelles daughter) works at then she bought me 2 pints of Green Beer. I had Texas style BBQ and Michelle had homemade soup.
Stopped by Vohaul's (Paul) on the way out of town to pick up the Alberta Chapter window/bumper stickers. Got home at 7.00 pm.
We had Just got home and the snow began to fall and it has just quit about an hour ago.
Yesterday the car smelled like Chicken & Beef from the dogs farting.
Well, the green beer started flowin for me about ~2:30, at the on-campus pub. Stayed there until the local hockey game started, (Lethbridge Hurricanes Vs. Calgary Hitmen) had a wee bit more green beer then hit the bar till 2. It was...a fun experiance. Now to start on an essay...
I'm a catastrophe adjuster for an insurance company and we're still working Hurricane Wilma in the Ft. Lauderdale/Miami, FL area. About 15 of us went to the beachfront where there are tons of bars, restaurants, etc. Ended up in a piano bar, had a great time. Then I had the pleasure of driving 5 drunken fools back to our hotel - no, I wasn't one of the them, I was drinking water all night. Those idiots owe me, all nearly falling down drunk (one girl literally had to be carried) and they were loud and obnoxious all the way back - yet at times very entertaining. Not to mention all the good blackmail material I picked up.
My favorite part riding back was their asking if I was ok to drive - over and over and over again. I had to keep reminding them who drank water and who was drunk. 2nd to that was the ever popular "where are we going?" - hotel, followed closely by "are we there yet" - soon, followed by "I need to pee" - ahhhh, St. Patty's day
Though I'm far from being Irish, St Patty's is one of the only days I get to go out for some drinks with friends. Today is Monday, and I'm glad to say that I have fully recovered. Saturday was rough, but I did one of the cheapest grocery shoppings I have ever done. Everything made me want to retch, so nothing seemed to be worth buying. I must remember next year that tequila shots and white russians don't mix well. All in all, I had an awesome night, even though I was home by 10pm. I hope I remembered my manners and thanked all of the gents who bought me drinks all night. I was once again reminded why it's so wonderful being a woman. I didn't even have to have any intellectual conversations, since the 'twins' did all of the talking.
This was my weekend with my daughter so I didnt get much green beer in but still had a lot of fun.Im half irish. We went to mom and dads for the weekend and to the parade in bay city mich.It was the 36th parade out of 38 years ive been alive that i went to.Im trying to make it a tradition and as long as Im still kickin I hopefully will be in bay city in march.
