rocky lacers have lasted almost 4 years working in a warehouse 8 hors a day, climbing mountains, hunting fishing, mud rocks whatever and they are finally starting to need replacing..the leather is wering into holes in a few places and the outsoles are shredding and i think i broke a shank on one..but very comfortable..i reccomend them.
Got a few pair, brand don't matter to me much, long as they fit good, are comfortable, and last a while. Prolly the best pair of boots I own at the moment, are some Tony Lama's real sharp lookin, and theyre comfortable! but i don't work, fish, or hunt in em. just general daily wearin...
Well, I let the lady at the boot store talk me out of Ariats. I picked up a set of Tony Lamas. Even though I HATE Justins, I decided to give them a try since I liked the way they look.
So far I'm hit and miss on them. They've weathered much quicker than any of my Ariats did. I've only had them for a few weeks.
I've had several pairs of Tony Lama boots and have always had good luck with them. I also have a pair of Justin. I may try a pair of Ariats next time though.

My first pair of Justin's lasted no more than 7 months before they started coming apart. I thought maybe I just had a crappy pair, but I've heard the same from most of my friends. I switched to Ariats, and all three pairs of my Ariats have lasted at least two years, and they still look great with only a little noticeable wear.

Justins are cheap for a reason lol, there okay work/throwaway boots, but that's it. I've not had any Ariats, but I've heard good things about them.
For what my Tony Lama's cost they better last...I've heard real good things about them. My Dad has a pair of ACME boots that have lasted something like 20 years, with only a couple minor problems (heel came off once, and I forgot the other one... easy fixes both times)

I'm hoping these Tony Lamas last at least a year.
Sounds about right for Justins, Guess we'll see about the Tony Lama's...

I probably would have killed it, especially considering what these boots cost...
I went and bought another pair of steel toe Caterpillar boots about a year and a half ago, one boot still looks great, but the other one got a small cut in the toe and the cut just keeps getting bigger and bigger. All the steel will be exposed pretty soon, wish I had a way to fix it. They are a great pair of boots otherwise.
i had to have my Twisted X boots repaired, the inner liner ripped where the heel drags and i couldnt get them on (or off) so it cost me $40 to have the boot guy lay a full sheet all the way up and down both of them.... so now theres no seem to come across.....

My Justin's were $159!
My Ariats were all $121!
My Tony Lama's were $146.
Big difference for sure. I could buy a nice shirt for the difference!
Funny that this thread is going on. I haven't really cared about boots until lately. I've worn everything from Doc's to Adidas. But recently I just bought a new pair of Redwing boots. I love the way they look, however I have noticed at the end of the day my feet hurt. I spoke to someone else I know who has the same ones, and he stated that after they are broken in, its like walking on a cloud all day long. Mine are 2 days old. Looking forward to how they feel.
